We are Gary and Ali, or Kool Kombi, whichever you prefer, a husband and wife team based in the beautiful Nelson area of the South Island of New Zealand. That's us in the photo on the right.

Our passion and specialty is in customising and restoring classic VW kombis for people who want a special VW experience. We also repair, service and restore other people's Kombis or Beetles at a competitive hourly rate.

As seen on our home page, our motto is "Travel is about the journey not the destination", and our belief is that your method of getting around makes up as much a part of your travel experience as the things you see along the way.
